CUSTOMS, TARIFF & POLICY

India - Seeks to waive late fee for FORM GSTR-4 filing in UT of Ladakh for Financial year 2019-20

India – Syncs HS code of wall fans, open cells for television sets, solar cells not assembled and solar cells assembled in module or made upto into panels with Finance act 2020

ITC availment restriction of 10% as per Rule 36(4) reduced to 5% from 1st Jan 2021.Also, only 99% of the liability can be offset by ITC. Balance 1% will have to be paid by cash subject to certain exceptions.

India - Export of medical goggles and NBR gloves are permitted freely

India – Import Policy: Import of copra under HS 1203000 is allowed through MMTC while import of Coconut oil under HS 15131100 and 15131900 is allowed through STEs except STC

India - Extends time period for completing anti- dumping investigation concerning imports of 1-Phenyl-3- Methyl-5-Pyrazolone exports from China

India - Revises safeguard duty on Phthalic Anhydride (Polyester Raw material) from Korea : Applicable rates are 7.5% from 18 Dec 2020 to 5 Jul 2021, 5.63% from 6 Jul 2021 to 5 Jul 2022 and Nil after 6 Jul 2022

India - Initiates anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of Caustic Soda originating in or exported from Japan, Iran, Qatar and Oman

USA – Establishes tolerances for residues of broflanilide in or on multiple commodities

Taiwan – Proposes regulation for the restriction and labeling requirement of 2′- fucosyllactose produced by genetically modified escherichia coli strain K-12 DH1 MDO MAP1001d as a Food Ingredient

United Kingdom - Publishes Food and Drink (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020

USA – Publishes requirements for additional traceability records for certain foods

India – Publishes special provisions for testing facilities in micro scale units in certification of safety of toys

Vietnam - Publishes amendment to national technical regulations on level 4 emissions for automobiles manufactured, assembled and new import
