In order to keep the Indian exporters informed of the rejections faced by Indian products in the EU and to take preventive actions, FIEO is forwarding the Rapid Alert Systems for Food and Feed (RASFF) and for Non-Food Consumer Products (RAPEX) alerts on a weekly basis.
The alerts from EU generated during 1st - 7th September 2020 are as under:
Alert: Toy water gun manufactured in India recall due to containing an excessive amount of lead (measured value up to 13889 mg/kg).
United Kingdom recalls of Toy water gun from end-users due to containing an excessive amount of lead (measured value up to 13889 mg/kg). The ink on the sticker of some water tanks on the Toy water gun contains an excessive amount of lead (measured value up to 13889 mg/kg). Lead is harmful to human health, accumulates in the body and can cause developmental neurotoxicity. The Product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.
