In order to keep the Indian exporters informed of the rejections faced by Indian products in the EU and to take preventive actions FIEO is forwarding the Rapid Alert Systems for Food and Feed (RASFF) and for Non-Food Consumer Products (RAPEX) alerts on a weekly basis.
 
The alerts from EU generated during 4 - 10 May 2022 are as under:
 
1. Alert: Aflatoxin B1 found in Indian Groundnuts
  • Notification from: Netherlands
  • Risk: Serious
  • Notification type: Food - Border rejection notification - Border control - consignment detained
  • Action Taken: Official detention
  • Date: 09-05-2022

2. Alert: Auramine O and cis-Bixin found in cumin from India
  • Notification from: Lithuania
  • Risk: Undecided
  • Notification type: Food - Alert notification - Official control on the market
  • Date: 06-05-2022

3. Alert: Unauthorized substances methamidophos and permethrin found in drumsticks from India
  • Notification from: Switzerland
  • Risk: Undecided
  • Notification type: Food - Border rejection notification - Border control - consignment detained
  • Action Taken: Destruction
  • Date: 06-05-2022
