In order to keep the Indian exporters informed of the rejections faced by Indian products in the EU and to take preventive actions FIEO is forwarding the Rapid Alert Systems for Food and Feed (RASFF) and for Non-Food Consumer Products (RAPEX) alerts on a weekly basis.
The alerts from EU generated during 25th August – 31st August 2020 are as under:
Alert: Unauthorised substances carbendazim (0.034 mg/kg - ppm) and tricyclazole (0.22 mg/kg - ppm) in rice from India

Alert: Aflatoxins (B1 = 5.6 µg/kg - ppb) in blanched groundnuts from India

- Risk: Serious

- Action Taken: Official detention
- Date: 28-08-2020
Alert: Aflatoxins (B1 = 3.1; Tot. = 3.9 µg/kg - ppb) in peanuts with shell from India
