In order to keep the Indian exporters informed of the rejections faced by Indian products in the EU and to take preventive actions FIEO is forwarding the Rapid Alert Systems for Food and Feed (RASFF) and for Non-Food Consumer Products (RAPEX) alerts on a weekly basis.
The alerts from EU generated during 23 - 29 November 2021 are as under:
1. Alert: Enterobacteriaceae found in dog chews from India

- Risk: Not serious

- Action Taken: Official detention

2. Alert: Chlorpyrifos found in dried organic mung beans from India
- Notification from: Denmark
- Risk: Undecided

- Action Taken: Recall from consumer
- Date: 26-11-2021
3. Alert: Salmonella found in sesame snack from India, via the Netherlands
- Notification from: Switzerland
- Risk: Serious
- Notification type: Food - Alert notification - Official control on the market
