In order to keep the Indian exporters informed of the rejections faced by Indian products in the EU and to take preventive actions FIEO is forwarding the Rapid Alert Systems for Food and Feed (RASFF) and for Non-Food Consumer Products (RAPEX) alerts on a weekly basis.
The alerts from EU generated during 17th – 24th March 2020 are as under:
Alert:Absence of health certificate(s) for spices from India

Alert: Aflatoxins (B1 = 64.8 µg/kg - ppb) in groundnut kernels from India

Alert: Too high content of cyanide (272 mg/kg - ppm) in linseeds from India, via Germany

Alert: Methomyl (0.069 mg/kg - ppm) and unauthorised substance thiodicarb (1.2 mg/kg - ppm) in table grapes from India
