In order to keep the Indian exporters informed of the rejections faced by Indian products in the EU and to take preventive actions FIEO is forwarding the Rapid Alert Systems for Food and Feed (RASFF) and for Non-Food Consumer Products (RAPEX) alerts on a weekly basis.
The alerts from EU generated during 13 - 19 July 2021 are as under:
1. Alert: Ethylene oxide found in sesame seeds from India.

- Action Taken: Official detention

2. Alert: Ethylene oxide in organic Moringa powder from India.
- Notification from: Germany
- Risk: Serious
- Notification type: Food - Alert notification - Company's own check
- Action Taken: Detained by operator
- Date: 14-07-2021
3. Alert: Unauthorised substance ethylene oxide in bamboo extract from India.
- Notification from: Spain
- Risk: Undecided
- Notification type: Food - Border rejection notification - Border control - consignment detained
- Action Taken: Official detention
- Date: 13-07-2021
