In order to keep the Indian exporters informed of the rejections faced by Indian products in the EU and to take preventive actions FIEO is forwarding the Rapid Alert Systems for Food and Feed (RASFF) and for Non-Food Consumer Products (RAPEX) alerts on a weekly basis.
 
The alerts from EU generated during 12 - 18 July 2022 are as under:
 
1. Germany: Hair dye originated from India containing 2-nitro-p-phenylenediamine (measured value: 1,6%), which is a strong skin sensitiser
Hair dye (brown powder) contains 2-nitro-p-phenylenediamine (measured value: 1,6%), which is a strong skin sensitiser. The product does not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.

2. Germany: Indian-origin Children’s Lederhose withdrawn from market due to allergic reactions
Children’s Lederhose (leather breeches), colour ‘hazel’, made of suede leather, with braces, two front pockets, a side pocket, bib embroidered in light yarn, and mock-horn buttons. Size 134. The product contains chromium VI (measured value up to 7.1 mg/kg). Chromium VI is sensitising and can trigger allergic reactions. The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.
